What does Vrikshā stand for?
Vrikshā lets you indulge in plant-rich, natural body care that contain no synthetic colourants, artificial fragrances, alcohol, sulphates, phthalates or parabens.
Vrikshā offers artisanal products that are entirely handcrafted with love and 100% cruelty-free.
For those vivid hues, Vrikshā uses only natural colourants such as moringa, turmeric, activated charcoal, madder root, honey, indigo, alkanet root and rose clay, amongst other herbs and minerals.
For those crisp scents, Vrikshā solely uses dried flowers, herbs and pure essential oils that are obtained through steam distillation of flowers, leaves and roots.

Who started Vrikshā?
Vrikshā began as Mythreyee’s one-woman journey to go “au naturel” and to ditch nasty chemicals and carcinogens in our everyday lives.
An airline pilot by profession, she began researching ingredients used in body care products, to figure out a way to help her husband Deepak, who had developed an allergy that dermatologists couldn’t figure out a reason for nor treat.
This is when she realized that even brands that claim to be natural contain a lot of chemicals with known skin irritabilities & questionable safety ratings.
This includes sulphates to enhance bubbles, parabens to enhance “skin feel”, chemical colours containing arsenic and lead, & synthetic fragrances that are concocted in a lab and simply labelled ‘parfum’ with no chemical composition listed.
After 6 years of skin allergies, Deepak started using her handcrafted body care formulae 4 years ago and has been allergy-free ever since!

What's our story so far?
Vrikshā started out as a skincare brand on Women’s Day, 2022, as a one-woman-operation out of a single kitchen and helped a handful of people in their quest to nourish their skin and their lives in an effortlessly natural way.
Now as the brand grows, Vrikshā hopes to aid hundreds and thousands more realize their dream of a chemical-free & completely natural skincare regimen, that not only hydrates your skin, but also calms, relaxes and pampers your senses.
Now, Mythreyee’s mother Aparna, has taken up the mantle of the Director of Vrikshā and also contributes to skincare formulations, replete with all the wisdom of growing up in a traditional Tamizh household where natural remedies abounded, and spices & herbs formed the very basis of everyday life.
